Over the last few years, Jean-Michel Sanejouand has developed a series of pseudo-landscapes which draw their inspiration from his earlier sculptural work. In addition to the sculptures themselves, these Espaces-Critiques (a group title that could be translated as "Space-Critiques" or equally "Critical Spaces") are filled with references to other earlier works: Charges-Objets, Calligraphies d'humeur, Peintures, and so forth. Here, Sanejouand uses them so as to organize picturial space.
